Three-point turn

Examiners use this to see steering control, observation, and whether you panic in reverse.

  1. 1Stop rightSignal right, pull to the right edge, stop. Check both ways.
  2. 2Hard left acrossSignal left. Creep across to the opposite curb. Stop before you hit it.
  3. 3Back rightShift to reverse. Turn the wheel right. Look over the right shoulder. Stop at the original curb.
  4. 4Pull throughShift to drive, straighten, and go. You should now face the other way.

What the examiner wants

  • Full stops between legs
  • Traffic checks each time you move
  • No hopping the curb
  • Smooth clutch or brake control
