Chapter 13 · Penalties
Violations, Points, and Insurance Hits
The 10-point rule, revocations, and driving without insurance.
Points
Oklahoma keeps a five-year moving window of points. Reach 10 points in five years and your license is suspended. Speeding 11–25 over is typically 2 points; 26–40 over is 3; more than 40 over is 4. Failing to stop for a school bus is 4 points. Completing an approved defensive driving course can remove 2 points.

Revocation and uninsured driving
Some convictions trigger mandatory revocation — DUI, leaving the scene of an injury crash, and other serious offenses. Driving without required liability insurance can mean a fine, jail, and suspension of both license and registration.
A probationary license for new or young drivers can be pulled faster than a full Class D. Keep a clean record while you build experience.
