Pre-drive and cockpit

Oklahoma’s drive test starts with a vehicle check. Lights, belts, mirrors, and a legal car are not optional.

1. 1Walk-aroundTag current, tires with tread, no warning lights, horn works, seat belts click.
2. 2AdjustSeat so knees are slightly bent. Mirrors: rear-view for the whole back window; sides just kissing the car’s flank.
3. 3Belt on firstFasten before you shift. Hands at 9 and 3. Foot on the brake as you start.
4. 4Lights and signalsHeadlights, brake lights, and both turn signals must work. The examiner may ask you to demonstrate.
